Scope: This standard applies to certain aspects of the design, manufacture and installation of recording and verification systems (RVS) in radiotherapy in the medical field. This Recording and Verification System (RVS): a) Provides, defines or displays treatment machine setting data; inputs data manually or imports data directly from other equipment; b) Controls equipment operation; c) Records data throughout the treatment phase; d) Intended for: 1) Normal use by operators with relevant skills and training under the authorization of qualified personnel or persons with corresponding licenses; 2) Maintenance in accordance with the recommendations in the instruction manual; 3) In the technical instructions Use under the specified environmental conditions and power supply conditions. This standard does not address the delivery of dynamic beam therapy.
