Scope

This standard specifies the classification, general requirements, functional requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of insulated tool cabinets. This standard is applicable to equipment such as special cabinets (boxes) for storing transmission, distribution, substation maintenance and insulating tools and safety tools for live work. It is also applicable to tool storage equipment designed for special use conditions.
