This Recommendation provides a definition of service and service management, as well as a Framework for further analysis ofoperational service management activities. With the collaboration of network operators and IT enterprise providers, a combined model is required to manage ICT services as depicted in Figure 1. The top two blocks refer to existing standards, while the middle block depicts this Recommendation and the lower layer blocksallow for extensions to the current Recommendation.
