- This standard specifies the product models and basic parameters, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of gate-controlled sealed lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) for diesel locomotives, electric locomotives and railway passenger cars. This standard applies to batteries used in diesel locomotives, electric locomotives, railway passenger car lighting, emergency power supplies and auxiliary power equipment. Other types of valve-regulated batteries can also be used as reference.
