Scope: This standard specifies the requirements and methods for testing the traction performance, cooling performance, single-machine emergency braking distance, safety protection device, vehicle body internal noise, motor temperature rise (electric transmission), curve and switch passing performance of heavy-duty railcars. This standard applies to 1435 mm standard gauge, heavy-duty rail cars powered by diesel engines (hereinafter referred to as rail cars). Rail cars with non-standard gauges can also be used as a reference.
