This standard specifies the principle, reagents, instruments and equipment, test procedures, result calculation, precision, etc. for the determination of the total sulfur content of benzene products. This standard applies to the determination of sulfur content in coked benzene, coked toluene and coked xylene. Measuring range: 1mg/kg~1000 mg/kg. For samples with a nitrogen content of more than 0.1% or a chlorine content of more than 1.0% per unit weight, there may be some errors in the determination using this method, but only in the titration container This error can be eliminated by adding an appropriate amount of sodium azide to the electrolyte. This standard does not apply to samples whose bromine and organometallic compound content exceeds 500 mg/kg per unit weight. For samples with a sulfur content per unit weight exceeding 200 mg/kg, it can be diluted to about 50 mg/kg with isooxifen or toluene before measurement.
