Scope

This part of GB/T 18449 specifies the principle, symbols and descriptions of the Knoop hardness test for metallic materials, hardness testers, samples, test methods, uncertainty of results and test reports. The test force values specified in this section range from 0.09807N to 19.614N. This method is only applicable to the indentation diagonal length ≥ 0.02mm.
