Scope

This standard specifies the method for taking laboratory samples from a batch of textile samples and gives the method for preparing test samples of suitable size for chemical testing. This standard does not specify the method of sampling from a batch of textiles, because it is assumed that the batch samples have been screened through suitable procedures and can represent the true situation of a batch of textiles.
