This part of the specification covers cores consisting of stranded conductors that are insulated with cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) and that are intended for use in aerial bundled conductor (ABC) systems for overhead single-phase and three-phase electricity distribution operating up to 600/1 000 V.
2 It also covers
a) supporting cores of stranded aluminium alloy that are insulated with XLPE and that are normally intended for use as strain-bearing neutral conductors in ABC systems; and
b) cores consisting of stranded aluminium or hard-drawn copper conductors that are insulated with XLPE and that are intended for use as service connection cables.
