Scope

This standard specifies glassware and equipment for microbiological tests in cases where the items are available in different types and where the choice of type might influence the results of the tests. Normal equipment that is generally used only in microbiological work and standard laboratory equipment for which no special requirements need to be specified for microbiological applications are not covered.
