- Scope
- This standard specifies the test method for measuring the fracture toughness of fine ceramic materials by the pre-cracked beam method at room temperature. This standard applies to homogeneous bulk ceramics and ceramic composites, but not to ceramic composites containing continuous fiber reinforcement. This standard is applicable to material research, quality supervision, performance evaluation, material reliability and fatigue parameter design, etc.
