Scope: This standard specifies the composition method of the test group. In terms of anthropometric characteristics, the test group should be able to represent the target user group of the object to be tested. This standard applies to the testing of anthropometric properties of industrial products and designs which are either in direct contact with the human body or which are related to the size of the human body, such as: machines, work equipment, personal protective equipment, consumer products, work spaces, construction or transport equipment etc. This standard also applies to the safety testing of products related to human body size. This standard does not address other aspects and other requirements of the task, such as the perception of information (except for the geometric arrangement of the observed objects) and the use of controllers (except for their geometric arrangement). This standard is an anthropometric point of view for the selection of subjects , but similar general principles apply to tests of other variables, such as biomechanical tests.
