Scope

This part of GB 20936 specifies the portable, movable and fixed type I (see the definition in the first part) detectors used to detect methane in the air in mines. Therefore, these detectors or their components can be used in coal mines prone to gas production. The requirements and test methods applicable to the detectors included in this part are specified in Part 1. This section is limited to detectors used to detect the volume content of methane in the air from 0% to 100%.
