Scope
This part of GB/T 20528: -Establishes the ergonomic requirements for the design and evaluation of image quality of flat-panel displays; -Specifies the terms and definitions that need to be used to describe the image quality of flat-panel displays; approach; establishes ergonomic principles that orient these needs. This part of GB/T 20528 is applicable to: - flat-panel display screens for office tasks; - flat-panel display screens where picture elements are arranged in a regular sequence with even intervals and no gaps between lines; - display Latin letters, Cyrillic letters and various fonts of characters of the Greek alphabet, and a flat panel display screen for Arabic numerals; - the display of Asian characters; - a flat panel display screen large enough to display at least 40 Latin characters. This part of GB/T 20528 does not apply to displays using flat panel technologies that: - use optical principles to construct images such that the image size is different from photoelectric sensors (projection applications for flat panel displays), or - are used only for fixed information or segmentation Alphanumeric display (see 2.13 of IEC/SC 47C (Central Office) 3:1992).
