Scope

In order to comprehensively promote the development of pollution-free production of agricultural products in our province, ensure the food safety of agricultural products and the quality of agricultural ecological environment, and meet the needs of consumers, this standard is specially formulated. This standard proposes the environmental technical conditions of the production site, cultivation techniques, and physical, biological, ecological, chemical and other safety measures to control pests and diseases for the pollution-free production of watermelons. Appendix A of this standard is a reminder appendix. This standard is proposed and administered by the Hebei Provincial Department of Agriculture. This standard was drafted by: Hebei Provincial Agricultural Technology Promotion Station, Hebei Provincial Plant Protection Station, Hebei Provincial Soil and Fertilizer Station. The main drafters of this standard: Wang Zhenzhuang, Li Xiuqin, Zhang Jinwen, Hu Xuzhang, Wang Jianmin, Ding Jianmin, Wang Yingxiao, Yang Zhongjie, Hao Liyan. This standard was developed by Hebei Province The Provincial Agricultural Technology Extension Station, the Hebei Provincial Plant Protection Station, and the Hebei Provincial Soil and Fertilizer Station are responsible for the explanation. This standard will be implemented from August 25, 2001. This standard stipulates the environmental technical conditions of the place of production, principles and requirements for the use of fertilizers and pesticides, production management and other measures for pollution-free watermelons with a single crop yield of 45000kg~75000kg per hectare (3000kg~5000kg/667m2). This standard is applicable to open fields and protection in Hebei Province Watermelons are produced pollution-free.
