Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for copper flat wire wrapped with 240-grade aromatic polyvinyl chloride film, in which the insulation is composed of one or two layers of polyvinyl chloride film tape. Class 240 indicates a thermal class, which requires a minimum temperature index of 240 and a thermal shock temperature of at least 260°C. The film tape is coated on one or both sides with a suitable adhesive such as perfluoroethylene propylene. The film tape can be sintered after wrapping to form a continuous, bonded sheath. Special requirements can be stipulated in the contract. The temperature in degrees Celsius corresponding to the temperature index is not the recommended temperature for winding wire use, because it depends on many factors including the type of equipment used. The nominal dimensions of conductors to which this standard applies are: - Width: minimum 2.00 mm, maximum 16.00 mm; - Thickness: minimum 0.80 mm, maximum 5.60 mm. See GB/T 7095.1-2008 for the combination of width and thickness and width/thickness ratio. When referring to the products covered by this standard, the following information should be given: - GB number and (or) IEC number; - conductor nominal size (width x thickness); - class. Example: GB/T 23310-2009 1.00 mm×4.00 mm grade A2 or IEC 60317-44 4.00 mm×1.00 mm grade A2
