- Scope
- This standard specifies two methods for determining the total plant alkaloid interception of cigarette filters by photometry: - direct method; - indirect method. This standard applies to filter cigarettes. The direct method is generally used, and the indirect method should be used only when the total alkaloids retained by filter materials (such as activated carbon filters) cannot be completely extracted, and the indirect method is not applicable to ventilated filter cigarettes.
