Scope: This standard specifies the general rules for the selection, installation, operation and maintenance of the turbine flowmeter metering system according to the characteristics of the turbine flowmeter and the nature of the liquid to be measured. This standard is applicable to the petroleum industry. In different occasions, various turbine flowmeters are used to measure the flow of liquid hydrocarbons with different properties. This standard does not apply to the measurement of two-phase fluids.
