Scope: This standard specifies the geometric accuracy inspection and corresponding tolerances of manual self-centering chucks for machine tools with more than two jaws. This standard applies to integral hard jaw chucks that quickly clamp workpieces of different sizes. This standard only stipulates the inspection of chuck rotation accuracy for correcting the workpiece center, and does not apply to other dynamic performance inspections, such as balance testing or clamping force testing.
