Scope
This guidance technical document provides basic data and methods for predicting the reliability of electronic equipment and systems. This guiding technical document is applicable to the reliability prediction of electronic equipment and systems. The component stress analysis reliability prediction method is applicable to the equipment development stage when the product has a detailed component list and the stress that the components will bear has been determined; The component counting reliability prediction method is suitable for the preliminary design stage of product development. The component failure rate data provided in this guiding technical document is only applicable to the reliability prediction of electronic equipment working under normal operating conditions; any extrapolation exceeding the value listed in the basic failure rate table (such as exceeding the specified temperature range, or the electrical stress ratio is greater than 1 or equal to 0) are invalid. The basic failure rate data provided in this guidance technical document does not take into account the nuclear radiation environment, nor the impact of ionizing radiation.
