- This standard stipulates the technical specifications for the prevention and control of major sheep parasitic diseases, including decontamination, pasture purification, manure, carcasses, and treatment of sick animals (feeds), monitoring and assessment. This standard is applicable to the prevention and control of sheep taeniasis, tapeworm cercariasis (echinococcosis, polycercaria and cysticercosis), sheep digestive tract nematode disease, lung nematode disease, sheep mite disease and sheep myiasis. This standard also applies to the prevention and treatment of canine tapeworm disease.
