Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, storage and transportation of self-igniting floating lights and self-generating smoke combined signals (hereinafter referred to as combined signals) for lifebuoys. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of combined signals. This standard also applies to self-propelled smoke signals for lifebuoys.
