- This standard specifies a method for determining the average relative molecular mass and content of alkane monosulfonates in industrial alkane sulfonates containing only trace amounts of alkanes. This standard applies to all alkali metal salts of alkane sulfochloroacylation and sulfooxidation products. In order to apply the direct two-phase titration method to determine the content of alkane monosulfonate, the average relative molecular mass of alkane monosulfonate should be known. When determining the average molecular mass of a typical sample, simultaneously determine the alkane monosulfonate content of the sample.
