This standard specifies the sample preparation, storage and microbial inhibition testing methods for the detection of β-lactam drug residues in foods of animal origin. This standard is applicable to the screening and detection of drug residues such as benzylpenicillin, ampicillin, ampicillin, cloxacillin, dicloxacillin, oxacillin and ceftiofur in milk, meat, fish and shrimp.
