- Scope
- This standard specifies the numbering method of refrigerants to replace chemical names, molecular formulas or trade names. When using the refrigerant numbering method stipulated in this standard, the use of chemical names and molecular formulas is not excluded. This standard also stipulates the safety classification of refrigerants according to their toxic hazards and flammability hazards, and evaluates their environmental friendliness according to environmental indicators such as ozone layer depletion potential and global warming potential of refrigerants. This standard applies to refrigerants used in refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment and devices.
