Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for the type and size, position tolerance, material and hardness, appearance and surface roughness, marking and packaging of cemented carbide straight shank and Morse taper shank machine reamers. This standard applies to hard alloy straight shank machine reamers with a diameter greater than 5.3mm to 20mm and cemented carbide tapered shank machine reamers with a diameter greater than 7.5mm to 40mm.
