This standard specifies the method for the determination of amylose content in uncooked rice—the reference method. This standard is applicable to rice with amylose content higher than 5% (mass fraction). This standard can also be used for the determination of brown rice, corn, millet and other cereals after the extended scope of application is confirmed.
