- This standard specifies the relevant definitions and test methods for glass surface stress and glass edge stress testing. The surface stress test method in this standard is applicable to tempered glass and semi-tempered glass made of float glass; the edge stress test method is applicable to tempered glass, semi-tempered glass, laminated glass for automobile windshield, and hot-bent glass. Chemically tempered glass can refer to the surface stress test method in this standard. This test method is a non-destructive measurement test method.
