- This standard specifies the ratings, design and structure, standard dimensions, tests and suppliers of fluid-filled and dry-type cable terminals connected to gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear with an AC rated voltage of 72.5kV and above and fluid-filled or extruded insulated power cables boundary requirements. This standard applies to the cable connection of single-pole or three-pole gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear with AC rated voltage of 72.5kV and above and rated frequency of 50Hz. Insulate with an insulating cone. Also suitable for cable connections with extruded insulation fitted with fluid-filled cable lugs. This standard also applies to extruded insulated cable connections for single-pole or three-pole gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear with an AC rated voltage of 72.5 kV and above and a rated frequency of 50 Hz. insulating fluid. The purpose of this standard is to establish electrical and mechanical interchangeability between cable terminations and gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear and to define supplier boundaries. This standard does not apply to cable terminations for direct installation in switchgear other than gas-insulated metal-enclosed switchgear.
