This standard defines the file structure format and language format for representing CLDATA on physical media. The CLDATA reference language is used for the processing of parts, and on CNC machine tools, it provides the control of process functions and motion. Any processor using a NC programming language shall be able to generate CLDATA defined in the standard. Each post-processor shall be able to use CLDATA defined in this standard as input. The reference language was mainly developed for CNC machine tools.
