Scope: This standard specifies the classification and marking, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking packaging, transportation and storage of polytetrafluoroethylene corrugated compensators (also known as polytetrafluoroethylene expansion joints, hereinafter referred to as "compensators"). This standard applies to corrosion-resistant PTFE corrugated compensators installed in pipelines or equipment to compensate for thermal displacement of pipelines and equipment, as well as absorb vibration and reduce noise.
