Scope

This standard specifies the principle of the method for measuring the coking value of coal tar pitch products, the collection and preparation of samples, instruments and materials, test procedures, calculation of results, precision, etc. This standard applies to the determination of the coking value of coal tar pitch and modified pitch obtained from coal tar processing.
