Scope

This standard specifies the liquid chromatography method for the determination of eight water-soluble pigments in cosmetics: cherry red, food red 17, lemon yellow, orange, amaranth, carmine, indigo and brilliant blue. This standard is applicable to the determination of water-soluble pigments in skin care and eye modification cosmetics.
