Scope: This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging and storage of industrial boiler water level control and alarm devices. This standard applies to industrial boiler water level control and alarm devices (hereinafter referred to as water level control devices) composed of electrode, magnetic control and inductive water level sensors (hereinafter referred to as sensors) and controllers. See Appendix A (normative appendix) for sensor-specific technical requirements and test methods.
