Scope

This standard specifies the testing principles, material preparation, operating methods, result determination and testing precautions for rapid testing of human prostate-specific antigen (PSA) through gold-labeled reagent strips in forensic biological evidence testing. This standard applies to human semen (spots) PSA related to sexual crimes in forensic scientific examinations, including vaginal, oral, anal, skin wipes, toilet paper, clothing and other biological test materials that may adhere to human semen (spots).
