- This standard specifies the general methods for measuring fluid kinematic viscosity and dynamic viscosity by capillary method, falling ball method, rotation method and vibration method. This standard applies to the viscosity measurement of Newtonian fluids, not to the viscosity measurement of non-Newtonian fluids.
