This standard specifies the method for determining the specific activity of radionuclides in primary coolant, steam generator boiler water and steam, and the source items for liquid effluent and gaseous effluent under the operating state of a PWR nuclear power plant. The source term calculated in this standard is suitable for evaluating the annual average discharge of radionuclides released to the environment through liquid and gaseous effluents. The data used in this standard is based on the use of zirconium-clad uranium dioxide dyes in pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. This standard is only applicable to pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants using U-tube steam generators.
