Scope

This standard establishes a nomenclature system for thermoplastic elastomers based on the chemical composition of polymers and related polymers. Specifies the symbols and abbreviations used by industry, commerce, and government to identify thermoplastic elastomers. This standard was established not to conflict with existing trade names and trademarks, but to complement them.
