This standard specifies the test methods for the oil content of chemical fibers: extraction method (method A), neutral soap washing method (method B), photorefractive index method (Appendix A) and nuclear magnetic resonance method (Appendix B). When there is a dispute, the extraction method is used, and when this method is not applicable, the relevant parties agree on the corresponding test method. This standard applies to the determination of the oil content of chemical fibers such as polyester (polyester), polyamide (nylon), polyacrylonitrile (acrylic), polypropylene (polypropylene), polyvinyl formal (vinylon), and cellulose fibers.
