Scope

This standard applies to radioactive surface contamination survey meters or radioactive surface contamination survey meters with alarms that measure the contamination density of α-ray-emitting nuclides on the surface of objects or β-ray-emitting nuclides that emit β-rays with a maximum energy of 60 keV or more. (hereinafter referred to as survey meter).
