Scope

This standard specifies the general rules for measuring and quantifying the transmission, absorption, or reflection of light by materials in the wavelength range from around 200 nm to around 1100 nm using a spectrophotometer or photoelectric photometer. . However, this does not apply to methods using atomic absorption spectrophotometers, near-infrared spectrophotometers, and infrared spectrophotometers.
