JIS K 6217-4:2008 Carbon black for rubber industry -- Fundamental characteristics -- Part 4: Determination of oil absorption number (OAN) and oil absorption number of compressed sample (COAN)
This standard specifies how to determine the amount of oil absorbed using an upsoap meter, which is one of the basic characteristics of Carpon Black (hereinafter referred to as Carpon Black) used as a compounding agent for rubber. The oil used is diptyl phthalate (hereinafter referred to as DBP) or paraffin oil.
