1.1 FormThis specification covers a synthetic rubber in the form of sheet, strip, tubing, extrusions, and molded shapes.1.2 ApplicationThis product has been typically used for gasket-type seals in contact with hot, petroleum-based lubricating oils where a space-filling seal operating from -40 to +212 °F (-40 to +100 °C) is required, but usage is not limited to such applications.1.3 Safety Hazardous MaterialsWhile the materials, methods, applications, and processes described or referenced in this specification may involve the use of hazardous materials, this specification does not address the hazards which may be involved in such use.
