Scope
This standard specifies the requirements for the introduction of SIM cards into IPTV networks: defines the interface between the subscriber identification module (SIM card) and STB in the IPTV network operation phase, as well as the characteristics and internal file structure of the SIM card itself; and defines the SIM card. Physical characteristics, electrical signals and transmission protocols, logical model of SIM, security features, interface functions, commands, content of files required for STB applications, application protocols. This standard applies to SIM cards and set-top box devices that support SIM cards in broadband network environments. This standard only addresses the use of SEM cards for machine-card separation, and does not provide for other forms of machine-card separation.
