WARNING—Personnel using this section should have practical experience in formal laboratory work. This section does not address all possible security issues. It is the user's responsibility to take appropriate safety and health measures and ensure compliance with the conditions stipulated in the relevant national laws and regulations. CAUTION—Substances may be used or generated during the performance of this standard procedure, including the generation of some wastes. Appropriate safety work documents or destruction documents for post-use substances should be implemented during operation, and local environmental protection requirements should be met. This standard specifies two methods for determining the density of solid vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber. This standard is applicable to the control of the quality of the rubber compound and the estimation of the amount of rubber compound required to produce rubber products of known volume. This standard does not apply to the measurement of the relative density of rubber, which refers to the ratio of the mass of a certain volume of rubber to the mass of an equal volume of pure water at a certain temperature.
