Scope

This standard specifies the calculation, measurement and evaluation methods for the torsional vibration of the unit shafting driven by the reciprocating piston-link mechanism. This standard applies to crankshafts driven by reciprocating piston-connecting rod structures with three or more cylinders in each row. It can also refer to crankshafts for internal combustion engines and piston compressors with less than three cylinders.
