- This standard specifies the scope, principle, terms and definitions, samples, test equipment and instruments, test requirements, test procedures, test result evaluation and test report of the drop weight test method for ferritic steel at no-plastic transition temperature. This standard applies to the determination of the non-plastic transition temperature of ferritic steel (including plates, profiles, cast steel and forged steel) with a thickness not less than 12 mm.
