Scope

1.1 This standard specifies a test method for manually dispersing pigments and extenders in water and measuring sieve residue. JIS K 5101-14-2 specifies a test method for measuring sieve residue of pigment by mechanical or reflushing method. Normally, this method and the JIS K 5101-14-2 method will give different results for pigments, so decide in advance which method to use when testing, and include which method in the test report. Specify which method was used.
