Scope

1.1 This test method covers the determination of the modulus of elasticity of thermostat metals at any temperature between - 300 and + 1000176;F (- 185 and 540176;C) by mounting the specimen as a cantilever beam and measuring the deflection when subjected to a mechanical load.

1.2 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
