Scope

This test method was designed principally for clay granular carriers and clay-based granular formulations, but need not be limited to these materials.

This procedure is applicable to granules in the range from 8 to 60 mesh (2.36 to 0.25 mm).

The sieve sizes used to calculate total particle count will be called the desired range and should be specified as part of the test results.

1.1 This test method is used to determine the number of particles per pound of granular carriers and granular pesticide formulations.

1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
